Volaris has announced the opening of five new routes responding to the needs and preferences of their customers.

Last week, the airline shared the results of a survey to its customers about the new reality of air travel. These new routes strengthen Volaris’ 74 routes available in Mexico to connect friends and families and help reactivate the economy in the country.

“Volaris has shown its resilience and the strength of its business model. We are one of the airlines with the lowest costs on the planet and with a deep adaptability, which has allowed us to grow and establish ourselves as the first airline in number of passengers transported in the Mexican domestic market in less than 14 years. The crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic has opened new opportunities for the development of the aviation industry in our country, and today we are proud to present these five new routes created to serve our key market, the VFR (Visitors, Friends and Family)”, said Holger Blankenstein, Vice President of Commercial and Operations at Volaris.

The five new routes presented by Volaris will start operating in July and October 2020, originating in Mexico City and destined for cities in the Gulf and the north of the country. All routes are available for purchase with special prices starting today on the renewed Volaris website http://www.volaris.com. The opening of these new routes also responds to the brands promise “Con Volaris #SeguroVuelas” that the airline launched last month, which seeks to reduce the time customers spend traveling by plane between cities, and avoid spending 11 hours in a bus.
